Bagh caves worth a visit in winter and rainy season. It's a very quiet place with not much tourist activity if you want a calm outing away from the hustle n bustle of city life then these caves are the ideal choice further the added attraction is the world famous Bagh print sarees n suit material
Very old Buddhist caves buit through mountain cut just like ajanta . Good to visit in winter season. 150 km from indore on dhar road.
Beautiful caves and paintings at the museum. Sorry to see the sad state of disrepair it is in.
At first glance, it appears as normal Buddhist Caves like Kanheri Caves. But after visiting the adjacent Museum, I realised the special charm of it. One can enjoy a huge number of very good quality paintings, which are preserved very nicely. Once upon a time, all these ancient paintings were in those caves. Due to water seepage, those paintings were on the verge of destruction. Archaeologists, Govt authorities and scientists painstakingly done cave lamination, removed from these caves and preserved in the adjacent Museum.
It is historical place .. also said that it was made by pandavas while there Agyat Wass they stayed here ... You should must visit these place for once ...
Bagh Caves are really amazing and wonderful place in Madhya Pradesh ( Dhar district). It is astonishing to think about them that how they were constructed and in such a manner that today also they are in much better condition than any other present day' s building which hardly remains for 20-30 years. I really grateful and thankful to the Almighty who gave me an opportunity to visit this historical place. One can enjoy a day picnic cum educational tour.
This place is clean but there is no light inside the caves. The best time to visit this place is in the rainy season. Ticket price is 25 ₹per person
